TOP 2019 #5: The mixture of melodic black metal and classic doom metal is a rather rare combination, but it works very well as it gives a distinct dynamic and swing to the album. The atmosphere is not as dreamy and magical as on "Dagian", my alltime-favourite of the band, but nevertheless are the powerful "black forests of eternal doom" haunting, catchy from the beginning to the end and a mighty candidate for my Top Ten of 2019! This whole album is flawless. This is music for walking in the rain and letting your thoughts run. It's not just a collection of songs, but an actual album. yakbone

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann

I don't know about others, but I personally feel melancholic rather than depressed. The atmosphere is so thick that you can cut it with a knife, and after listening to this album (twice in a row), I can safely say that it will not end with two listens Kurt Von Jazzenhoff
